A J-rock debut

Album cover artwork created for a Tokyo based rock band. Hiriki (光) means “light” in Japanese. Keeping this in mind the themes of light and dark & positive and negative are explored throughout the artwork. Custom typography was also used for this project, which included designing Japanese characters and setting copy in Hiragana. This album was the group’s first major national release and can be purchased from the online stores of HMV Japan and Tower Records.
